The Ramadhan Dinner

Sis suggested to treat the family buffet with her salaries the other day :D
So here came our scrumptious Ramadhan buffet dinner yesterday night :) Thank you very much sis and dad (He subsidies some lol)!

This time round, we chose Ramadhan buffet dinner offered by Season Cafe @ Grand Season Hotel.
They stated at their website saying that they offer 70 to 130 delectable dishes ranging from tempting appetizers to tantalizing desserts. So time to pamper our tummy once in a while :P

Reached there around 7.30pm and we went to their function room according to their sign. At first sight, we thought it was a jamuan (food feast) for the Malays and we ran off hahaha :P
We then went to their cafe and found out we didn't go to the wrong place at first. LOL +.+ And ya they are using their biggest function room for Ramadhan buffet, can you imagine how many people they are serving each day :D

The first thing you will see :)

Malay songs non-stop :D

After settling everything (we changed our table to a smaller one, they prepared one big 10 pax table for us =.=), it's time for FOOD :D
Appetizers of that day :)
No, sushi at Ramadhan buffet not really something you wish to try.
But abalone slices yes :D

And don't you dare to forget the mussels!
Super fresh :D Daddy was eyeing at the seafood counter the whole night cause mussels disappeared in minutes once they appeared.

Honey Barbecue Chicken Wing
Crispy enough plus didn't over roasted (Y)

Some snacks :)
From the Indian counter: Pita, Roti John.
Malay snacks : Keropok (Both fish and prawn), Ikan Bakar
They offered Fried Cempedak, Fried Banana also :P Super nice!!!

Some main dishes :) I didn't take much though :P
They offered Nasi Kandar, Bubur Lambuk, Mee Rebus and etc. based on menu of the day :)

Ayam Percik :D

Didn't take much photos on the main dishes, looked a bit too gross hahaha :P
But next up, my favourite - dessert counter :P
The chocolate fountain :D
Jackfruit aka Nangka with chocolate unexpectedly nice match :P

The jelly counter :P
I prefer the normal one, but not the honeydew one. Coffee one taste ok too :D

You can try their Malay Kuih. OMG *drooling*

The cakes and tarts :D
I instantly fall in love with the chocolate tarts. Can I have more?

All mine :P
All superb nice toooooooooooo.........

Remember to grab a cup of Tea Tarik yo!

Ais Kacang made by mummy, my heroine.
Super nice until I wanted to grab another bowl of it, but can't cause daddy stopped me T_T

Time for some groupfie and selfie :P
My precious one :)

Lil one taking selfie.

Same to the eldest one.

With my Hero

See my super busy woman. Business first, not selfie.

Finally, my heroine

Sorry for the shaky hand T_T

That's all for the awesome buffet dinner :D
All of us went home with a big tummy. Weights gained again T_T

Ohya, you can enjoy 20% off if you using selected credit cards, including quite a number of banks I think :D RM98.50 per pax after tax if you pay cash. I would say it is quite worthy after all as you got to try a lot of nice Malay dishes :D

Lastly, wishing all my Muslim friends Selamat Berpuasa :)

Those Gatherings

"People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figured out which it is, you will know exactly what to do." - Michelle Ventor
Writing this blog entry to record down the never-ending stories with the old people.
3 gatherings across 2 countries in 3 days, a pretty good season to meet with the old people :D

4th July, The Blue Night
Went back to Singapore for 3 days for 2 meetings and used the free time after meetings to meet with the blues that stay in Singapore now - MingRui and JiaEn.

One serving his national service, one waiting for college's orientation.

Had a "good" time walking with JiaEn at Vivo City while waiting the boss. Imagine you had to walk with the 2kg laptop in your bag. But still worth the wait :D

Why? Because the boss treat us dinner. Was kidding about the treat at first, but he took that very serious. #不好意思 Next time on me ok?

Had our dinner at Jamie's Italian at Vivo City after waited for about 45 minutes :D
Enjoyed the night scene with their companion while waiting for our dinner.

Black Angel Spaghetti (Small) $16

A bit too salty to me and the portion is not really suit those with big appetite.
JiaEn ordered Crab Spaghetti and faced the same problem, too salty and not fulfilling.
Maybe we didn't order the right food? But not really worth the wait for me.

Not going to introduce much about them, so refer to their official website to know more about them :D

5th July, The 奇奇怪怪 Night
Rushed back to KL in the morning and definitely didn't expect the crowd at the immigration :'( But it was all worthy to meet my people :D
Although I got to start a battle with the handmade birthday booklets once me reached home till the minute before they picked me up. Sorry for the uglam booklets T_T

Ohya, it was a gathering to celebrate birthdays and also bid farewell.

3 birthdays and 2 farewell to 3 main characters. Maximization of our money and time #MajorWin

The bosses wanted to have Korean food and don't wish to spend the night at somewhere near us, so we went to Solaris, Mont Kiara to hunt for good food :D
After some struggling, dinner set as the very crowded Palsaik Korean BBQ. Waited for more than 30 mins I think.

With our food :D
Photo taken by the super pro and experienced waiter there!

Members of the day : JunYao, JenTim and MinYen (Main People) KarYen, EeLeen, YeeTeng and me :D

Not so nice photos by me :(

Nice photos by Minyen

We had 2 sets that consist 8 flavours pork and seafood soup :D A total of RM240++ for 7 people, a bit pricey but worth the try :D Nice food with awesome service!

In the middle of our meal, the manager came and apologized to us cause there will be a blackout as they had to change the fuse. Well, we don't really mind after all :D

And photo below taken by Minyen with a part time lightman - JenTim during the blackout. We were all having a fun time there :P

Personally prefer the curry one. Being a Malaysian, you know :P
For more details of the restaurant, you can check out here : http://www.palsaik.my/ :D

Went to Caffe Bene for second round after that for the birthday celebration.
We ordered a huge Bingsu for 7 of us. One because we were too full, second because our wallet and purse need a rest :O

Try to take a groupfie with myself in and apparently failed =.=
Ohya, we were a bit kiam for giving the 3 people ONLY one slide of cake :P

Much better without me T_T

Being a nice Santa Claus and gave everyone of them presents and also souvenirs. Hope you guys like your presents :D
Ohya, about the food. It was a bit overrated in my point of view. After all just normal ice? But surprisingly, orea and red bean mixed quite well :D

Around 11pm and we were all ready to home. But before that, let's take a groupfie.
Minyen brought her Polaroid and all we did was taking tons of groupfie at the car park. Super weird place right? #奇奇怪怪

We spent more than 15mins there(at the car park) and we got to pay our parking tickets again.
But then again, it was all worthy for these people!
See you guys again real soon

6th July, When The St Johns Meet
It was like ages ago during my last meet with them. Recalled back a lot of the memories back then when we were all St John people :D

Met at Kanna Curry House @Menjalara. A funny joke about the place haha :P
Members of the night : Anndrea, WenYi, JiaNing, ShiYien, TzeChien, Edmund, KengShuen and me :D
Main purpose to meet - bid farewell to Anndrea who is going to Australia to further study for 2 years :D

Had a lot of catching up throughout the night and sincerely hoping everyone is doing fine and will be better in near future :D
Btw, we forgot to take groupfie that night T_T

That's all with the gatherings with the people I was and still very close to. Thanks for being as a part of my life and never leave ever since :D

Till the day we meet again, my friends!

On a side note, 070714, a quite pretty date hurh?

How To Train Your Dragon 2 Review

Went to watch "How To Train Your Dragon 2" with the little sis at TGV Kepong on Monday. It was quite some times ago since me went to the cinema I think.

PS : I kinda dislike service at TGV Kepong. Cinema with weird smell, overlong ads (wasted my 20mins) and awful popcorn. "Great" job TGV, luckily the movie is nice enough!

As someone that didn't watch the first How To Train Your Dragon movie back in 2010, I went in the cinema knowing nothing about the movie. But I am glad that I made a right choice :P It kinda captured my interest now to watch the first HTTYD movie LOL..
How To Train Your Dragon 2

Synopsis :
Hiccup goes on adventures with his dragon, a night fury - Toothless to discover and map unexplored lands and territories. He, as son of Stoick the Vast, is being pressed by his father to succeed him as chieftain, although Hiccup remains unsure if he is ready for that.

While investigating a wildfire, Hiccup and Astrid (GF of Hiccup :P) encounter a dragon trapper named Eret who attempts to capture their dragons for Drago Bludvist. They return to Berk to warn Stoick about Drago and Stoick orders the villagers to prepare for battle. Hiccup refuses to believe that war is inevitable and he then flies off with Astrid, hope to be taken to Drago in order to reason with him to prevent the war.

Later, Hiccup and Toothless discover an ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious dragon rider named Valka, who is revealed to be Hiccup's long lost mother. Hiccup and Toothless then find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace and they must unite to stand up for what they believe while recognizing that only together they have the power to defeat Drago and the Dragon Alpha.

The Trailer :D

Kinda love the plot, a very heart-warming one.
Ain't sure was it me being too sentimental or just the scenes were too touching, it made me tear in the cinema for some minutes. *sobs*

And not to forget, all the cute dragons! The interaction of dragons and their owners just kept us WOW throughout the whole movie.
Toothless, the Hero!
It is just being too cute in the movie :D

They interact just like human :D

The different dragons :D

Directed by Dean DeBlois, this 1 hour and 45 minutes long animation seems to receive a lot of good reviews :D Rating 7.7/10 at the Rotten Tomatoes website and 8.5/10 at the IMDb website :D

So is it a big YES for you to the cinema? It is definitely from me :)
Enjoy the movie peeps!
