Origami Workshop

So I went to the origami workshop.
It was organized by Professional Development Division of Rotaract Club.
I'm in this division so my job is to help out by teaching the participants origami.

The workshop was suppose to start at sharp 7pm. But us the PD members were required to reach at 6pm. Sorry ZhiZheng for can't attend your birthday celebration in the OG dinner ='(

The workshop started after like almost everyone reached.
We were required to teach them a total of 6 different origami.

So this is my group was assigned to teach the jumping frog and I found out that it was the hardest among all >.<

NTUC Income Race On 2013

NTUC Income Race On! first started in 2010 as an exciting fun-filled event that aims to provide tertiary students with a platform to explore their youthful energy. As the pet project of a group of young and vibrant people who were then fresh to the company, it was a journey in many ways for different individuals.
Quoted from the NTUC Income Race On Facebook page.

So it basically give you a rough idea about Income Race On.
If you don't, nevermind.
Basically, Income Race On is a game that organized by NTUC Income for university students.
It's a game which is a mixture of a few games shows, for instance : Amazing Race, Running Man, etc.

We formed a team of 4 for this game.
Team 219 : Tracy, PohWei, YokeMun and me =D

We named ourselves YOLO. (You Only Live Once)

ShiYien supposed to be with us but too bad she got some other things to do that time.

Scan the code and we will know which 4 stations to go first.

We had our first station which was the "Wheel of Forfeit" located at School of Information, SMU.
We used an hour to reach there as we walked all the way there. #HealthyLifeStyle
Of course we didn't really on our compete mode so we using the most relax way to there, that's why an hour.
See, take photos like tourists somemore.

After we reached we went to spin the wheel and we got 2 tasks to complete.
"Spot the differences" and "Tickle Me" (f I didn't name it wrongly)
Did it pretty well for both tasks. I know YokeMun having a hard time to control your laughter when the facilitator tickle us right? =P Good job!

Went to the "The Incredible Race" later on.
Time started when we got this instruction. Ran all the way to the destination like crazy. (Most tiring part of the day)
Guess what we choose?

We went for the "Sort Seeds". Obviously asking us to carry water cans and run 3 rounds is a bit too torturing so we rather to go and pick red bean, black bean and yellow bean =P
Ran all the way back after we done and we crossed road dangerously also. Opps =P Manage to get 2 points at least.

We then went to the "Survival On".
Did a few tasks like walk together with a stick. (Gosh I seriously got no idea how to explain this game in words =.=)
Then we have to go search for flags and the complete the puzzle.
Well cooperation girls =D

Next, we went back to the NTUC Income building for "Race GO GO GO".
We waited for a long time there and we started to play with some FOC mini games there.
For sure we take pictures too! #GirlsBeingGirls

While waiting we also ate all those biscuits they sponsored like Oreo and below. Running is kinda tiring =P

After a long wait, we were called to the game room.
We have to spot 5 unusual spots in that area.
We did it very fast, really fast!

While we thought times is up and decided to walk back, me received a msg from the organizer saying that they extended the time for extra 30mins.
We ran all the way to the next station again.
But too bad we can't have the chance to play cause too long queue there.

Went back to the assemble place and had our refreshment there.
Finish the game with 32 points =D Not bad since we were aimed to have fun only =D
Next, free food and free photos =D

Overall, it is awesome for running around Orchard, Bras Basah and Somerset area in orange with a huge gang of people! SEE YOU AGAIN NEXT YEAR!

ISC Coffee Session

Today is a big BIG day for me!
My first presentation in Uni!
But nothing related to my studies or subject.
It is the International Students Center Coffee Session.

So I was elected to be the Cultural Secretary for Malaysian Students Association (MSA) 2013/14.
There are 2 gentlemen that are with me, Johnson and CCC =D
And this coffee session is our first mission.
Our aim is to promote and introduce Malaysia to the others for example exchange students from France, Iraq, China and many more.

The email to invite people to join was sent long time ago (ISC job) but they never tell us about how many people going to show up for the coffee session.
It's actually kinda nervous beforehand as you really know nothing about how things going to turn up.
But really glad that everything went smoothly just now =D

We had prepare a powerpoint slides presentation about Malaysia. And the last edit was on yesterday night actually.

Our presentation =D The animated part is not shown here so bear with the slides that you can't see clearly =D

We also set up the booth displaying something about our country.
Things we displayed are as below =D
Congkak =D
We realised that every state having a slightly different way to play this =P
I lose cause my competitor too pro d =P

Tanglung.
We got a big one also but I didn't take picture of it.

Postcards of Malaysia =D
We distribute it after event also =D

Wau =D
There are few more things that we displayed like our flag, batu seremban and etc.
But me in a rush so don't have the chance to take pictures. Not even a picture of our booth.

By the way the dance that the Indonesians performed was awesome =D
Got attracted also =P Let's discover Indonesia together? =D

They provided light refreshment after the presentation and something magic happened =D
Magic =D

Me went off a bit earlier after we tidied up most of the things.
And I missed the most important thing.
To take group picture. Blame the tutorial class ='(
My two mates on the left and the two in the center are the president and vice of MSA.

Really glad that things went smoothly =D
Felt happy for people came to support us also! Thanks a lot really!
Without all these voluntary helpers I bet we three can't make this a success.
Thanks!

Feeling accomplish.
