USS Halloween Horror Night 4

So don't ask me why am I being that brave this time hahaha :D
But yeap, challenged accepted :P And yes I conquered the haunted house!

So in a group of 10, we went to USS Halloween Horror Night 4 (HHN4) last last Thursday (23th of Oct) :)
Last time I would probably ask why would people want to spend money to scare themselves. But OMG, it's really worth that 50 bucks! It was just way too awesome!
PS : We got the ticket with only SGD50 from NTU iGave and it came with a SGD10 meal voucher too! A very good deal isn't it?

Reached USS around 6.50pm and yeap, we made a right decision to go on a normal Thursday. The crowd was a lot lesser compared to our expectation. I think we were the only group who had the full experience compared to other groups of friends who went there on Fri or weekend :)

I am glad that I went there with this bunch of awesome human!
With them, even screaming is fun hahaha :D

The gates opened on 7pm and what welcomed us was the "opening ceremony".
Patiently waiting for the awesome opening ceremony.

What I really love about the opening is that they really did let us feel like we are part of them - those who went on the protest. Though there were a lot of "actors", but everything just happened in front of your eyes, which make you feel so real and excited as if like the evil minister really gonna hurt you. So run while you can! (Anyway, we really ran all the way to the first scare zone right after the opening.)
This is exactly what we went through actually :)
The part when the Minister of Evil set fire on those people, OMG, how they managed to catch the timing so accurately?

The map :D The opening was at the entrance :)

Like what I said before, we really ran all the way to the scare zones and haunted houses right after the opening ceremony - to avoid long queue. Well, you know, my legs are a bit short, so yeap, the gentlemen did their job hahaha :P
(No photos are allowed and yeap, who on earth will be free to take photos when those scary creatures were chasing after you LOL =.=)

1. Scary Tales
Without much preparation after the exhausting run, we reached and entered the first scare zone - Scary Tales. It was at the Jurassic Park and it followed the theme - the fairy tales went wrong. Well, at those unprepared moment, I don't really remember what happened and what I remember is that we screamed all the way out. TOOOOOO MUCH OF JUMP SCARES. Those actors were really professional to hide here and there and we couldn't really spot them (clouded in darkness and fog all the time) till we got scared =.=

Anyway walked in a team, I basically got lot of benefits as those actors either scared those in front of me, or behind me, but not me, haha :P
Ohya, I think I missed both the main characters of this scare zone - The Evil Queen with the magic mirror and the Rapunzel. LOL =.=
Read this if you want to know in details as it was done by a very professional blogger :D

2. The Lab
Linked to the Scary Tales zone, we made our moves to the first haunted house - The Lab. Again, we waited for no more than 5 mins and you know by now how unprepared we were again. Aliens, laboratory, giant tubes and etc. Well, not that scary but the set up is really awesome :) Those makeups, costumes, and the props. They did put in a lot of effortS for this particular haunted house I think? And it was really gross enough to make you feel uncomfortable.

The only place for us to see aliens fighting I think? Hahaha :P Those bodies around, eww... I heard that one of my friend went and touched one of the body. OMG!! Anyway, really a big thumb up for the costumes and make up!!

Read this only if you can take gross images.

3. Mati Camp
I don't understand why, but yes, the distance between the haunted houses ain't really far so here we were, at The Mati Camp, after dealing with all those disgusting aliens. We queued for this, but wasn't too long queue also, just enough for us to calm down and got scared again hahahahaha :D

First to welcome you here - the Demon Sergeant Major with the suffering recruits. Those screams and gunshots, I bet you won't be able to stay calm with all these sound effects.
You can really feel how suffered those soldiers were to be in that camp. Being tortured, being trapped, and at last ended up in the kitchen as dinner for others. OMG.. It wasn't scary, but traumatic for both vision and hearing with all those violence exposed to you.

Click here for more details hahaha :D

4. Canyon of The Cursed
Moving on from the Mati Camp, we soon reached the second scare zone - Canyon of The Cursed. Theme surrounded with ancient stuffs.
You can see a lot of scary looking Red Indians and cowboys, ladies with ancient gowns and the most interesting characters for me - The Sheriff and the Madame who walked on stilts. Imagined how tall they were.

And there you go - The very tall Sheriff.
I was amazed by their skills to walk on stilts for such a long time!

With the scary looking Red Indian.

This scary zone for me wasn't scary at all, besides the fact that these actors love to chase after you. Anyway, it wasn't that scary maybe also due to the fact that many visitors were taking photos with the actors like what we did. So yeap, no more actors to scare people hahaha :D

Why we had so much photos at this scare zone? Well, it was located right outside The Revenge of The Mummy, and we passed through the same place for at least 5 times =.= Immune after the 2nd time I think? hahaha :D

I really like his photography skill Here :)

5. Jing's Revenge
After spent some rest time at the Accelerators and the Transformer ride, we headed to the most anticipated haunted house - Jing's Revenge. To be honest, this was the only haunted house that really got me frightened. SCARY MAX cause of those familiar scenes. Urgh, school is always the best place for horror stories, isn't it? Had the longest queue of the night - waited for about 20+ minutes I think (Still a lot lesser compared to other groups I know).

So we met Jing at first, followed by the teacher, the other students and Jing again. All those super familiar scenes, classrooms with all those tables and chairs, lab, sports room, everything reminded you with those old scary ghost stories you heard before. Imagination went wild and that is definitely not a good thing. A lot of jumpscare too. There was a part a student jumped out and asked me to be quiet, I really got scared till I dare not to voice..

Then there came the super duper disgusting toilet! While you were trying to escape from the ghost from above, you got to meet the little girl in the last cubicle of the toilets and please don't ever remind me how dirty (with lot of poos) the toilet was. Just urghhhhhhh T-T

View only if you dare.

6. Demoncracy
Another scare zone - Demoncracy connected to Jing's Revenge haunted house. Theme surrounded with the scenes after the evil took over the city. I pretty like when the whole area was flooded in blue and purple. Demons were walking around, with all those destructive city scene. Well, it was really awesome (Y).

With one of the demon

Watched the street show there too and I think we missed out some awesome part, or only me cause I couldn't have a perfect view due to the height constraint. People were spinning non-stop during the show time and it made me wonder how they came down after the show. It turned out that they would stay at there as long as possible. Another batch of dedicated performers!
I didn't know about this :'(

Walked past the same scare zone for a few times too and all those actors were really dedicated to scare you. But well, wasn't that scary for me. The impact of Jing to me was way too huge and so I got no feel for other scare zones =.= And I think it was because people were like us, kept taking photos with the demons, and yeap, I can walked past the whole street without any demons chasing after me.

A very nice zone to take awesome pictures : http://dejiki.com/2014/10/uss-hhn4-demoncracy-scare-zone/

7. Jack's 3-Dementia
After the scare zone, we went straight to the last haunted house of the day - Jack's 3-Dementia. The first 3D haunted house I had ever been to. Those illusion effect just way too amazing and impressive. It wasn't any haunted house which meant to scare you, but it was more to confuse you. The beautiful clowns were the main character for this haunted house and with the help of the 3D specs, it was a quality experience :D

Felt so dizzy with all those spiral effects and you were like, stop spinning! But you just can't stop praising the awesomeness of the haunted house - very bright and colourful set up and the impressive 3D effects. The part when we met 2 clowns at the ball pool - run was the first thing in your mind, but you just can't cause the dizziness haha :P I pretty love the tunnel, that optical illusion that made us felt like we were in a moving tunnel but we were actually not. Mind-blow!

PS : I tested to view the pictures with 3D spec, and it works!

8. Bogeyman
After the mind-blowing haunted house, we headed to the last scare zone. I swear that Bogeyman was more like an outdoor haunted house than a scare zone! The only scare zone that you will need to queue :) Lost children were the main focus of this scare zone and yeap, it can really freaked you out!

That strange lady at the entrance, those curtains of white clothes, those missing children photos and news, scarecrows and wardrobes. Just added more suspicious and scary element for us to walk passed. A lot of jumpscares too, and the last uncle was the best! When he jumped out and asked us about his lost children. OMG!

Scariest scare zone it is : http://dejiki.com/2014/10/uss-hhn4-bogeyman-scare-zone/ !

So that's the end? We cleared all the haunted house and scare zones by 10pm and it was just way too awesome! Time for the long-awaiting dinner :D
We had pizza that night and yeap, we paid only extra SGD2 each as we were spending using the vouchers we had! Thumbs up for the Hawaiian Chicken pizza and Rendang Chicken pizza we ordered!
The biggest pizza I have ever had :)

After the satisfying meals, the last show we had : Jack's Nightmare Circus.

Those performers really way too talented d. Well, it wasn't scary, but it can really made you feel "geli". Those jaw-dropping performances like using your tongue to carry things. Well, stop imagine, urghhh..
By the way, our eyes got to maximize their utility as those performance were really too attractive :P Hot guys and girls, wow :D

Our group photo :)

Not to forget to mention that we went for the Transformers ride for twice, The Revenge of the Mummy for 3 times, The Accelerators for once, The Madagascar for once (They had a great time using me as example for their jokes =.=) and The Shrek 4D for once. We almost conquered every main attraction :P

So yeap, SGD50 for all the fun we had in the haunted house and scare zones, for all the awesome time spent at those USS main attractions, and for all the good foods we had. Both physically and mentally enjoyment night is just way too awesome! Not to forget, it was because of this awesome bunch of people that makes everything seems more wonderful.
Thanks for everything

HNN4 done :) What's next?
