CNY 2015

Aloha! Was suppose to be busy preparing for my quizzes, but I am still not ready to start the revision, thus let me update my current life for a while :P

First of all, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR people :) Time really flies, I am back in NTU after the short CNY break d. I guess we will never have enough of holidays hahaha :D

The first CNY celebration was the MSA CNY night 2015 :D Had a really fun night and all I did was just sit back and enjoy the show! Kudos to the committee members that put up such a nice show :)
*Photos credit to the owners :)

The funny Y2 bunch :P

The bosses

I am blessed to have these good teammates :)

Best OG - Wata you doing?

The #AwesomeLife gang

The very on committee team I have :)

Don't miss this video by the talented people too :D

After that, I went back to KL on last Tuesday and skipped my Wednesday lecture. The traffic quite smooth and I reached around 10pm as I took the 4pm bus. The first person I met is the long-time-no-see-buddy, Minyen :D She purposely came and picked me up and even waited me to finish my stuffs at my house just because she said she won't have time after that night. And she got to go back to Kampung the next morning. OMG, must give you the best buddy award hahaha :D
Hahahahahahaha! Sorry for the really blur photo I have here :P
We had mamak! What else I can ask for when I had maggi goreng as the first meal?

She was so excited to update me about everything and everyone :) So sweet of you and hope you enjoyed the night market tour LOL hahaha :D
See you soon and good luck in job hunting!

Went to help out at the market as usual so that my mum and sis can get some rest. However, I went back to sleep around 7am and can't believe I was that weak la :'( Guilty max for can't help mummy during the morning :'(
5.50am, guess what they queuing for?
Morning market really got people at night one la :D

Had steamboat as our reunion dinner as usual, and then the usual praying ceremonies.
But it rains that night LOL.. But well, water is wealth so I don't mind :P
Ohya, this is a pretty good year for "monkey", say Yeah!

First day with the sisters ❤

Nothing much on the first day so we went to the Tian Hou Temple at night :D

My first considered successful panaroma photo LOL

I should cut down on my weight, I know T-T

Well, we had mamak then ahahahaha :P

Went to visit my mum's aunt on the second morning. And we had steamboat there. Don't ask me why but I do feel weird for doing so hahaha :D
The mummy and aunts and their aunt LOL

The cousins :)

I look nice here so I post LOL

Then went to visit my nanny at PJ :) And we had the very nice yu sheng again!
Pardon me for my poor selfie skill LOL =.=

Day 3 we went to meet my dad's brother and got to see my niece :D
7 years old, I feel so old, but she is damn cute!

Then we have the family barbeque! It was like so long ago since we had one!

Met up Junyao on day 4 noon after he reached KL haha :D Another one that will get the best buddy award. Mad love both of them hehe

Took the 4pm bus and it was the worst decision really :'( The bus departed at 4.30pm and I cleared both immigration after 11.30pm :'( Forced to take cab back to Pulau somemore. No next time!

These are things I have for CNY 2015. I am really blessed to have such well spent break :) See you guys soon and for now, time to work harder!

2015 Resolution :)

Hello 2015 :)

Yes, from me on my birthday. Who on earth will blog on her birthday a? Me seriously kinda #NoLife recently. Wey, no la, actually I typed this few days back and I just back from Doraemon Expo in JB :D (So happy to meet my love one on my big day!)
Ps : Will share about that next weekend ok? The current mod is killing me!

Add on : Just knew this news about the Cantonese Doraemon voice actor last night and it hit me hard. I remembered how I will always change the soundtrack from Chinese to Cantonese for every Doraemon movie I watched. He represented Doraemon, the one and only. RIP, my Doraemon hero, my childhood.
And I think this really conclude my childhood? With the leaving of my favourite cartoon character, that's the official end of my childhood.

So I set my resolution for 2014 and let's do a reflection to see how well I do first :)

1/ Let bygones be bygones (YAY)
Well, I think I did pretty well on this, especially the later part of my 2014. Heart-broken events happened, but I am really glad that I moved on from that incident. Like seriously, I am so proud of myself not being super emotional on that but I learned and changed to be really matured :) Hooray, big clap to myself!

2/ Be healthy, both physically and mentally (NAY)
I'm wasting my life like seriously =.= Slept super late every now and then and currently I am in my heaviest stage. Seriously need to change my bad habit and let's not waste my health in such a way again. I guess these bad habits really pull down my IQ by a lot hahahaha :P

By the way, I am trying to change my life to be a healthier one and I swore to be a long term vegetarian since 1st Jan yo! Hope I can really make it la :D
Taken during my Taiwan trip and that's the slimmest period in 2014.
Time for exercise!

3/ Focus on needs of parents (YAY)
I guess I had been a pretty good daughter in the past year :) Though there were still moments I showed my temper, moments they need to worry about me. But hey, I'm still learning to be a better one now! Had a surprise to dad during his birthday, visited them pretty often, and the list goes on. I guess I tried my best d and that's enough for 2014!

I wish I can be better, at least I won't have them to worry about me that often. Please be a good daughter, and I believe you can Choo Wan Qi :)
Love love love :)
Don't worry about me please :)

4/ Be considerate - control own temper and emotion (YAY)
OMG, can you believe this? I personally don't hahahaha :D But based on what my friends (Not those high school friends) told me earlier, they said they like me for being super positive. OMG, the emo old people last time also got such moments hahaha :)

I'm really more than happy to know that my efforts to change myself can be seen. Being positive maybe really not that difficult after all. Let's not forget #HappyWQ hahaha :D
Smile my friend :)

5/ Be both efficient and effective - do things right, do right things (NAY)
This is the killer of 2014. No self control like seriously. If I really managed to control myself well, I won't have such sh*tty result. I got no idea how to pull up my CGPA now like seriously. Haiz, let's get back to study 24/7 now :'(

And if I have enough self control, I guess I won't gain weights till this stage LOL :(
I want this back!

6/ Explore the world (YAY)
Weeeeeee, I did this! Well, went to Taiwan with my sister is considered a very big step for me! Though it might seems a little achievement for others, but I am so glad that I made my very first step! Coming up next, I'm waiting myself to have a solo trip :D
Taiwan, I miss you :)

7/ Be more open-minded - listen and accept (Pending)
I listened a lot, but I guess I am still the very hard headed person. I accept people opinions, but only after I voiced my opinions. I don't know where I changed to be more open-minded, but I guess I still need to put in more efforts to change myself for not being so hard headed.

8/ Spend when only needed (NAY)
My spending for the year, OMG, it is a scary number! I spent so much on foods and now I know how I gained so much of weights =.= Gotta control my spending like seriously d. I don't want to be so poor every year end a....

9/ Improve myself (NAY)
I seriously don't know how much I improved and in which area I improved lol =.= Guess I need to really undergo a transformation to upgrade myself d. Jiayou a Choo Wan Qi!

10/ Be myself (YAY)
I didn't lie to myself. I didn't cry myself to sleep. I didn't stay under the mask for long. I voiced my honest opinions and feelings. I did my very best to think from another perspective. I started to step into the path I want to fulfill my dream. I guess I did pretty well to be honest to my true self :)
So many photos of myself a bit paiseh d :P

So I guess 2014 is a pretty nice year despite being the worst year as a student and a lover. But I did so well as a daughter, a sister, a friend, a senior, a worker :) And yes, time to close this chapter of life and move on to the new blank page! I will color 2015 in my own way!

Coming now, the 2015 resolution for a better me :
  1. Stay focused - One thing at a time. Focus on my academic first :)
  2. Self control - Control myself to have a better lifestyle, to stay focus and don't overspend.
  3. Be contented - With everything I have now, ie the family, the friends :)
  4. Be flexible and understand others - Never argue to win the war, but listen and understand.
  5. Believe in myself - Have faith in myself even though things might not go well at some point in life. When there's a will, there's a way :)
All the best people :) Wishing you a blessed year ahead :)

Hello 22nd :)
Bye bye childhood.

CNY 2014

So this is the very last day of CNY 2014.
I'm so sorry but I failed to update my blog often. Am kinda busy with all the events lately and that's why I can only be here at this time. Yeah 2am in the middle of the night.
Just to say this for the last time for this year :" Gong Xi Fa Cai! Happy Chinese New Year!"

The only old pic I had with that very strong CNY feeling.

I would say I had a really blessed Chinese New Year this time round despite being a bit emotional because I can only spent few days at home.
Overall, I really enjoyed for the time spent around those people who love me a lot!

Went back to KL with the big gang on Wed and sadly to tell that I wasted a Venti size of Frappuccino T_T
I went straight back to home to take my shower and then the wet market to help my mummy and relatives for the fruits and flowers selling. Yes in the middle of the night. The wet market at Jinjang usually open 24 hours few days before CNY.
The hardworking girl worked at 3am in the night!

Went unconscious the next morning once I fall asleep. Yes, seriously unconscious. No matter how my alarm rang, how my dad shouted at me. I just slept all my way till I satisfied. #LikeABoss

Like previous years, we had a rather simple homamade steamboat as reunion dinner.
Then went all night for the praying, free fireworks and sleep. We were all too tired after the few days at the wet market.

Day 1
This was the first time we went out around 4pm on the first day of CNY. Yes, 4pm in the noon and we were the last family to reach uncle's house.
Collected quite a number of red packets and I love all those cute designs of the red packets!
Took our family photo on that afternoon too!
Taken with my phone.

And you can see the differences of the quality below T_T
I need a camera badly!

The really big family!

The cousin sisters!

Another photo of us. Mad <3 with this!

Later then we went to mamak. It is like a must do on the first day of CNY hahaha =D
5 tables to fit all of us.
And we ordered only drinks. Emo for the shop owner hahaha =D

Discussed with them and all of us agreed to go for a movie at the night.
Tried online booking but it couldn't be done. So to make sure everything goes right, we went to the cinema and bought the tickets.
Here comes me with the 21 movie tickets =P

Went to visit my grandmother's sister and non-stop eating again after we bought the tickets.
And around 11.45pm, we were all in the cinema watching "The Journey."
A nice movie with simple story line. But that's the reason it touched our heart.

Day 2
Went to the some relatives house at Puchong which I don't really can recognize who they are. But well, it was still nice to meet people.
After that we went to visit the aunt that took care of me last time at Sunway! The must-do for CNY!
And this time round we even went for dinner with them! Enjoyed the dinner a lot and hey that was my first yee shang of the year!
It was heavenly and awesomely good!

Photo taken by the very unprofessional waiter.

They were the 2 that took good care of us before I was 4!
Can't tell how much I owe them but I think I can never repay them for what they did for me.

Day 3
Went to picnic with the big family.
Yes we were random enough but it brought us so much fun and memories!
Used to go to the park for picnic last time but stopped this healthy activity after a while cause all of us were really busy with our life.
So CNY is the best time for us to reminisce the past!

I like this photo although it's blur.
Cause this shows how pampered am I in front of my daddy =P
Yes, that's me lying on his lap while waiting all the chefs to prepare the foods =)

Foods of the day :

Don't you dare to doubt about the taste of all these foods.
All well prepared by the big chefs!

Beside eating, well it was time for the pairs to be together without being disturbed by others. By saying the pairs I am referring to those couples that didn't get to enjoy their world of 2 often for example my parents.

See how lovely they were here :
Awww <3

Time to spam photos =P

Me with my Doraemon hehehe =P

Day 4
Went back to NTU by Aeroline, the double decker bus.
A smooth journey and I heard people came back later than us by few hours got trapped in the serious jam for hours. O.O
We had our reunion steamboat also at hall 10 =D
Thanks for those who were here with us!

The second yee shang of the year =D

Was very unlucky that night as I got forfeit for 3 times =.=
But still thanks for the awesome night!

There ends my CNY holidays.
Although it's kinda short, but nevertheless, it was one of the best.
I know it would be better if I was able to meet up with the qqgg gang as all of us came back from different countries! Sorry guys but believe me I miss you all!

Ohya, I didn't gamble for the whole CNY. #AchievementUnlocked

Have a blessed year ahead!

Love,
WanQi
