Recess Week :)

"Home is the only place where you can finish one whole bowl of the rice with only soup." - WanQi

So I came back from recess week for 3 weeks d (I know what you wanna say =.=), and ya, only one week for recess week is definitely not enough for all of us.

So I started my recess week with Race On on the Saturday morning. Without any sleep the night before, I was that brave to attend the event LOL =.= Basically I was like a panda with her brain not well-functioning walking around Singapore. #YOLO max I guess?

This year, each group was given an Ipad to facilitate the race as to match with the theme for this year "Unlock the Digital Age".

Well, don't really wish to rant on the Ipad not well-functioning, but yeap, we all had fun I think :)

After the Race On, I had a good time deciding to go for dinner or not. 3 of us were spending more than 30 mins to decide where to go cause the event ended a lot earlier than expected.

At last we went too :) Headed to Star Vista for tea and also dinner :)
Spent our tea time at the Owl Cafe @ Star Vista.

My Mango Soda Float

Didn't really manage to concentrate on the topics. Just too sleepy T-T
Gotta have dinner there cause I had this Manhattan Fish Market voucher to spend and that day was the last few days to spend it before me heading back to Malaysia.
The cause of everything =.=

While waiting for the others :)
How nice if we were allowed to be as innocent as the kids are?

So after all the very nice, super On CPs were here, we headed to Manhattan Fish Market to have our dinner :)
Super long queue, super long waiting time, super sleepy me = Not-so-enjoyable dinner
But well, the food quality vice, yeap, still above average la :)

Not much difference compared to the voucher right?
Berry full after the meal :D

Went back to Malaysia for my beloved the next day.
Not to forget, my super memorable trip back. First, I got to discovered Singapore when I was rushing, then my bus decided to ditch all of the passengers at the bus station, and lastly I got to get on one weird bus to back to KL =.=
But yeap, still reached home safe :) And I gotta met my sister @ UPM that evening!
PS : The government should really consider to renovate those hostels in public university. Haiz~~

I got a lot rounder after the recess week. Here came all the causes :

I finished the whole bottle of peanuts in 2 days.
And mummy bought at least 2 jack fruit for me to eat. #NowYouKnowWhy

My all time favourite
And yes, Mamak is a must visit place everytime I go back :)

To my lady, THANK YOU for everything you gave me :) Sorry for letting you worry the period before the recess week. I am fine now, a lot better really :) Thank you and ILY!

And after few days at home, I was forced to come back to NTU to attend a talk. #BoringLikeUsual
And I went to the "Dinner with Deputy Minister of Education" with my MSA-mates. (Photos credit to the professional PnP team)

A night well spent and the people from high commission are really friendly and nice (Y)
Okie, let's end this post with my last dinner in that recess week.. *Wave*

Stay tuned for my post about USS Halloween Night 2014 :P

Teadot @ Westgate

Something that I should post 2 weeks ago =.=

Booked the Saturday of my lovely women and here we went for some nice foods!
Finally can enjoy nice moments after working hard for few weeks :)

With my women
Ya, we went out with our notes also #MidTermSyndrome
PS : This photo was not taken @Teadot =.=

So after asking around, one of the nearest cafe that have pretty good review is Teadot @ Westgate :) Not much cafe nearby NTU actually, majority of those nice cafes located at the East side of Singapore T^T

Teadot is one of those located in a shopping mall, but it is not those which you think would be very crowded. I would say it is a nice place for small chat. But for me, the space there is quite limited, not as spacious as I thought.

They allowed students to study and do revision there, but not during the weekend. And we went there on Saturday. Didn't manage to stay too long though.

Their main focus is on Tea :)

Drum-roll for the foods!
Mocha Lava :)

Matcha Latte on the left :)

I forgot what's this =.= #FailedBlogger
But this is definitely the best looking coffee art among the 3 drinks hahaha :D

Scrambled Eggs Special
Creamy scrambled eggs, cherry tomatoes and portobello mushrooms = Best combination!
I love that mushroom and I think I alone ate half of it. OMG!

Egg Benedict
Poached eggs with ham, came with the Hollandaise sauce.
It tastes nice but not until the end cause a bit too much of the sauce.

By the way, all the portion of their meals are considered big! Don't think I can finish one meal by myself :)
Red-Velvet Cake
Didn't manage to impress me. I should have try their cheese cake!

Anyway, one of their top selling item is the Chocolate Rainbow Cake and I don't know why it seems like they stopped serving that d T^T

Not a bad place for small gathering. Well pay them another visit for their top selling items ie those tea drinks :D Hopefully they manage to attract my attention the next time! Hehehe :D

The Ramadhan Dinner

Sis suggested to treat the family buffet with her salaries the other day :D
So here came our scrumptious Ramadhan buffet dinner yesterday night :) Thank you very much sis and dad (He subsidies some lol)!

This time round, we chose Ramadhan buffet dinner offered by Season Cafe @ Grand Season Hotel.
They stated at their website saying that they offer 70 to 130 delectable dishes ranging from tempting appetizers to tantalizing desserts. So time to pamper our tummy once in a while :P

Reached there around 7.30pm and we went to their function room according to their sign. At first sight, we thought it was a jamuan (food feast) for the Malays and we ran off hahaha :P
We then went to their cafe and found out we didn't go to the wrong place at first. LOL +.+ And ya they are using their biggest function room for Ramadhan buffet, can you imagine how many people they are serving each day :D

The first thing you will see :)

Malay songs non-stop :D

After settling everything (we changed our table to a smaller one, they prepared one big 10 pax table for us =.=), it's time for FOOD :D
Appetizers of that day :)
No, sushi at Ramadhan buffet not really something you wish to try.
But abalone slices yes :D

And don't you dare to forget the mussels!
Super fresh :D Daddy was eyeing at the seafood counter the whole night cause mussels disappeared in minutes once they appeared.

Honey Barbecue Chicken Wing
Crispy enough plus didn't over roasted (Y)

Some snacks :)
From the Indian counter: Pita, Roti John.
Malay snacks : Keropok (Both fish and prawn), Ikan Bakar
They offered Fried Cempedak, Fried Banana also :P Super nice!!!

Some main dishes :) I didn't take much though :P
They offered Nasi Kandar, Bubur Lambuk, Mee Rebus and etc. based on menu of the day :)

Ayam Percik :D

Didn't take much photos on the main dishes, looked a bit too gross hahaha :P
But next up, my favourite - dessert counter :P
The chocolate fountain :D
Jackfruit aka Nangka with chocolate unexpectedly nice match :P

The jelly counter :P
I prefer the normal one, but not the honeydew one. Coffee one taste ok too :D

You can try their Malay Kuih. OMG *drooling*

The cakes and tarts :D
I instantly fall in love with the chocolate tarts. Can I have more?

All mine :P
All superb nice toooooooooooo.........

Remember to grab a cup of Tea Tarik yo!

Ais Kacang made by mummy, my heroine.
Super nice until I wanted to grab another bowl of it, but can't cause daddy stopped me T_T

Time for some groupfie and selfie :P
My precious one :)

Lil one taking selfie.

Same to the eldest one.

With my Hero

See my super busy woman. Business first, not selfie.

Finally, my heroine

Sorry for the shaky hand T_T

That's all for the awesome buffet dinner :D
All of us went home with a big tummy. Weights gained again T_T

Ohya, you can enjoy 20% off if you using selected credit cards, including quite a number of banks I think :D RM98.50 per pax after tax if you pay cash. I would say it is quite worthy after all as you got to try a lot of nice Malay dishes :D

Lastly, wishing all my Muslim friends Selamat Berpuasa :)
